I
The small sheep farm keeps the children in touch with the various processes that from the these animals goes all the way to felt processing.
Such events as giving birth and and taking care of lambs to which children and teens can attend have very strong emotional resonance.
After shearing, wool washing, processing and picking dye-grasses, grass boiling and wool dyeing operations, all of which everyone can participate in small groups, stimulate sensory and perceptual discrimination, allow recognition, denomination and classification procedures, favour the experience, at once emotionally and cognitively fundamental, of transformation.
Once carding is finished, wool is ready for felt production; during this phase sensory and motor functions and mental functions are simultaneously activated in the concrete production of the artefacts and the communications and relationships that occur within the group.
